Access & mobility

By train

The SNCF station of Clermont-Ferrand is served by direct services from Paris (TGV INOUI, 3h25), Lyon (2h20), Bordeaux and Marseille. It is a 15-minute walk from the historic centre and the tourist office.

By plane

TheClermont-Ferrand Auvergne airport offers direct flights to Paris (Orly, CDG), Amsterdam, Lisbon, Porto and several seasonal destinations. A shuttle links the airport to the city centre in 25 minutes.

Clermont-Ferrand sits at the crossroads of the motorways A71 (Paris–Clermont), A75 (Clermont–Béziers), A89 (Bordeaux–Lyon) and A72 (Saint-Étienne).

Getting around on site

T2C tram and bus

The network T2C serves the entire metropolitan area with one tram line and more than 30 bus lines. Tickets are sold at the tourist office and in ticket machines.

Panoramique des Dômes

To reach the summit of the Puy de Dôme from the city centre, choose the Panoramique des Dômes rack railway (15-minute trip, direct line).
